How long have you known each other?

-8 years

How did you meet? Who, What, When, Where, Why? Common spill the beans!

-we met on Canada Day at Pinafore Park for the fireworks when we were both still in highschool. We had a mutual friend at the time. We did not start dating until later on, and became a couple on July 23^rd

When did you know your fiancé was “the one”? Was there something specific that he/she did?

-I thought Shayne was the one early on in our relationship just because he was the first person who I could truly be myself around.

What is your favourite thing about your fiancé?

-His smile and his confidence

What do you love to do together?

-we use to love to go snowboarding and do things outside (before Shayne broke his back), now we just like to do things with our son Kane (1 ½), like taking him to the park and to the pumpkin patch

Tell us about the proposal.

-the proposal was simple and private, like we are. Shayne came home from work on Christmas Eve and told me I had to open my present now. So instead of giving it to me, he began to open it and pulled out the ring box. He got down on his knee and asked me. I then asked if he was serious this time (he had joked about it before but was not serious). When he said yes, I jumped up from the couch and said yes! Then after I asked to look at the ring since I never even looked at it when he showed it to me.

We later told our friends and family.

Besides getting hitched, what was each of your favourite parts about the day?

-Seeing my husband for the first time before we were married. And taking our photos after the ceremony, we got to have fun with our pictures and had great photographers/videographers to work with.
